”``To be alive is to be in a perpetual state of revolution.`` - Glennon Doyle
Though I have an English degree and love for literature, I haven’t always been a writer. I started my career pursuing a passion for dance. Upon graduating, I worked as an entertainer on cruise ships and stages worldwide. Performing taught me perseverance, resilience, tenacity, and a high standard for excellence–especially for telling and selling stories.
Performing took me on contracts all over the world. I was introduced to the power of travel to change minds, inspire emotion, and wake up the senses. Working and wandering, I was reluctant to call anywhere home. I lived on ships, out of suitcases, and then in a RV as I roamed the USA on wheels. After many miles spent searching for a location that felt just right, I learned that “home” isn’t a place, but rather–a feeling.
Currently, I plant my feet in Florida while traveling slowly. I seek out art, antiques, outdoor adventures, and the best places to relax with a strong drink (whiskey. coffee. sometimes both). Though I don’t perform in shows onstage anymore, I still tell stories for a living. Now, through words and visuals. I craft stories that evoke an ethos–slow down, enjoy, and find the beauty. My background in dance and travel reminds me that life is an elegant improvisation, made better by taking the scenic route.
